VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A 19-year-old Deltona woman had her car stolen at gunpoint by two men as she returned home Wednesday night, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the armed carjacking occurred just before midnight Wednesday on Sanborn Lane in Deltona.

Police said the teen was sitting in her car when two men approached her and asked for help jump-starting their car. When she declined, police said, the men pulled their weapons and demanded she get out of the car.

The woman was not injured, but the men got away with her car, deputies said.

The woman's father, Donnie Cantwell, said the car and all of the stuff inside of it can be replaced.

"We are extremely grateful she wasn't hurt," he said.

The Sheriff's Office said it is still searching for the car, which is a 2002 white, four-door Ford Escort with the license plate number JELH76. Deputies said the car has a Michigan State college tag on the front.

They said a third suspect, who was seen walking with the two men, is also being sought.
