VOLUSIA COUNTY , Fla. — Detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a home during a “well-being check” Thursday morning.

According to investigators, deputies were called to a home on Orange Grove Drive in Ormond Beach after a relative said 62-year-old Elizabeth Crisanti had not picked up her grandchildren from school.

After getting no answer at the door, a relative let deputies into the home.

Once inside, deputies say they found Crisanti dead on the floor of a bedroom with obvious injuries.

Investigators say they also found Crisanti’s boyfriend, 61-year-old Nelson Rivera, unresponsive.
