Disney to lay off more than 2,500 workers in third wave of job cuts

ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney is about to undergo another round of layoffs.

Employees will be notified this week if they will be let go as a part of a third wave of job cuts.

More than 2,500 workers are expected to lose their jobs.

The first two waves of layoffs happened in March and April.

Those cuts eliminated about 4,000 jobs.

The layoffs are part of Disney’s plan to save $5.5 billion in costs.
