Dive team searches Lake Monroe after boat found submerged

SANFORD, Fla. — A Sanford dive team spent Monday morning searching the waters of Lake Monroe after a boat was found underwater.

Video from Skywitness 9 HD shows a boat submerged in the water near U.S. 17-92.

A dive team searched the area because of reports that someone may have been on board.

They searched the boat, but found nothing.

Investigators said they'll have to have the boat removed because it's blocking the waterway and is a danger to other boaters.
