Driver hospitalized after hitting construction barrier near OIA

ORLANDO, Fla. — A crash near the Orlando International Airport sent a driver to the hospital.

The crash happened on State Road 528 in Orange County, just after 11 p.m. Thursday.

The car crashed into a construction barrier, flipped and slid down the embankment to Daetwyler Road, officers said.

The driver, whose name was not released, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
