FDLE: Titusville youth pastor arrested on child pornography charges

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A Titusville youth pastor was arrested on 10 counts of possession of child pornography, Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials said Thursday.

Lucas Brandenburg, 30, who is married, became a target of an FDLE investigation in July after agents identified a computer at his residence sharing images of child pornography, officials said.

Investigators said Brandenburg is a youth pastor for Building 418, a ministry of St. Gabriel Episcopal Church in Titusville.

The Diocesan Bishop issued a statement saying, “As Christians, a core tenet of our church is the protection and promotion of the dignity and care of all people, especially children and others who may be the most vulnerable and in need of special care. Our hearts go out to everyone involved in this matter."

One of Bradenburg’s neighbors was shocked to learn of the allegations.

Brandenburg was booked into the Brevard County Jail on a $350,000 bond.

Investigators ask that anyone with information about the case contact the FDLE at (800) 226-8521
