FDLE will not investigate harassment claims against retired Orlando officer

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will not investigate claims of harassment and special treatment at the Orlando Police Department, WFTV found out Tuesday.

The attorney for a woman who claimed retired Officer Rod Johnson raped her before taking her to jail asked the FDLE for an external investigation.

He claimed Johnson received special treatment when he was allowed to retire, rather than be fired.

The attorney also claimed his client was being harassed by police.

FDLE told the victim's lawyer the issues raised did not warrant a criminal investigation.
