FHP: 1 killed, another injured in 3-car crash in Maitland

MAITLAND, Fla. — A 22-year-old Ocoee man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a three-car crash in Maitland Saturday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Kyle Lowe was heading west in the inside lane of State Road 441 when he crashed his Chevrolet Cobalt head-on into Lindsey Bass’ eastbound Jetta.

Lowe was pronounced dead at the scene and Bass, 19, suffered serious injuries.

A third car struck Bass during the crash, but that driver is OK.
