FHP: Motorcyclist killed in early morning crash in Seminole County

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along a busy roadway in Seminole County Thursday morning.

According to FHP, a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Markham Woods Road just south of E.E. Williamson Road just before 2 a.m.

Troopers said the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve in the road, struck the curb, and was thrown from the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a 51-year-old man from Sorrento, died at the scene.

FHP has not released the name of the motorcyclist and said the crash is still under investigation.
