MIMS, Fla. - A semi-truck driver is dead after a crash on Interstate 95 early Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The semi driver was following another semi-truck, driven by Lawrence Lee, as the big rigs traveled north on I-95 near the State Road 46 exit to Mims, when he rear-ended that truck, troopers said.

The trailing semitruck then caught fire, burning the driver, troopers said.

Troopers have not yet been able to identify the semi driver because of the fire.

Troopers have not been able to determine why the dead semitruck driver rear-ended Lee’s semitruck.
