ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An electrical fire engulfed a day care early Wednesday in the South Apopka neighborhood, Orange County Fire Rescue said.
The blaze was reported shortly after 1:15 a.m. at Learning Ladder of Apopka on Clarcona Road near East 18th Street, firefighters said.
The fire ignited in a front office and spread, the State Fire Marshal's Office said.

It took two dozen firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters said they plan to stay at the scene until 8 a.m. to ensure that the fire doesn't rekindle.
A friend of the day care's owner told Channel 9 that she is devastated and has been crying all morning.
Records show Learning Ladder of Apopka is open from 7a to 10p. We have not seen any parents show up. A friend told us the owner has been contacting parents this morning after the electrical fire. pic.twitter.com/8qYeqUBGKS
