Firefighters put out massive fire near Disney

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.,None — The State Fire Marshal's Office is working to figure out what sparked a fire at an abandoned home in Orange County.

At first, firefighters thought it was a brush fire that burned the house on Apopka Vineland Road near a Walt Disney World resort Sunday night.

Eyewitnesses said at one point the flames were 60 feet high.

The crews working to knock down the fire faced some extra challenges.

“We had to cut a gate to get into the property and it's very far off the road, so we had water supply issues. It didn't delay us, but it made everything a little harder,” said Bat. Chief David Sullivan, of Orange County Fire Rescue.

The fire didn't damage any other buildings.
