Flagler Beach police investigating bomb threat near pier

FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. — The Flagler Beach Police Department is investigating a bomb threat reported near the Flagler Beach Pier Sunday evening.

Deputies from the Flagler County and St. Johns County Sheriff’s Offices are also assisting with the investigation and search for any possible devices.

Deputies are warning of a heavy law enforcement presence in the area as they conduct their investigation.

Traffic on Highway A1A has been closed between State Road 100 and South 7th street

They’re asking people to try to avoid the area.

Police say no actual explosives have been found.
