Flagler County to step up DUI patrols

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said it's going to be more active in its search for drunken and impaired drivers.

Deputies said they will use "saturation patrols" to look for DUI drivers.

Instead of having a fixed DUI checkpoint, five additional deputies will patrol different areas around the county, officials said.

The operation is funded by a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation to keep impaired drivers off the road.
