Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried’s Twitter account hacked

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried had her Twitter account hacked on Saturday.

Officials said her account is the victim of a phishing attack.

Work is being done to fix the problem, officials said.

Fried’s press office released the following statement after the hack:

“Earlier this evening, Nikki Fried’s Twitter account was compromised through a fishing attack. We are doing everything we can to get Twitter support to fix it as quickly as possible.”

Her press office asked followers not to not click on any links tweeted from Fried’s account.

Fried has been agriculture commissioner since 2019 and is running to be the governor of Florida.
