Florida is home to some of the worst drivers in the U.S., according to a new report.
SmartAsset, a New York-based personal financial technology company, ranked Florida No. 4 among states with the worst drivers. Only Mississippi, Nevada and Tennessee ranked worst. This is the fourth time the report has been compiled. Last year, Florida also landed at No. 4, tying with Texas and Nevada.
The rankings are based on metrics including percentage of drivers that are uninsured, DUI arrests per 1,000 drivers, fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled and how often residents search “speeding ticket” and “traffic ticket” based on Google trends.
