ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida health officials reported more than 10,000 new COVID-19 cases Saturday as well as 95 coronavirus-related deaths in residents.
The state reported 10,360 new coronavirus cases.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state is now 254,511 with a death toll of 4,197.

Florida health officials report that so far nearly 2.5 million tests have come back negative in the state.

Gov. Ron DeSantis gave an update on COVID-19 in Bradenton Saturday afternoon.
He said Florida hospitals will be getting additional shipments of Remdesivir, a drug that has been successful in treating COVID-19 patients.
DeSantis said some nursing homes in the state are specifically for COVID-19 patients.
