Florida reports more than 9,000 new COVID-19 cases, 231 virus-related deaths

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported 9,594 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 2,201 of those cases in Central Florida.

According to the Department of Health, there have been 1,667,763 cases of the virus reported in Florida.

The state also reported an additional 231 virus-related deaths, including 59 in Central Florida.

The state’s total death toll for both residents and non-residents is 26,080.

The department of health also reports 1,622,421 people had been vaccinated for COVID-19 in Florida, an increase of 57,038 since Monday.
