Fog, smoke from prescribed burns could reduce visibility on Central Florida roadways

ORLANDO, Fla. — Overnight patches of fog and lingering smoke from combined burns in the area could result in reduced visibility, Channel 9 Certified Chief Meteorologist Tom Terry said.

The reduced visibility is expected overnight and into the early morning, Terry said.

Reduced visibility could be up to a half a mile throughout most of Central Florida, including Orlando, Kissimmee, Winter Haven, Leesburg, The Villages, Ocala, DeLand, Sanford and Daytona Beach.

Fog will likely not be as dense east of Interstate 95, Terry said.
