Trump is scheduled to speak during the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando.

2. Four new federally supported COVID-19 vaccinations sites to open in Florida

Four new federally supported COVID-19 vaccination sites will open in Florida Wednesday, including one in Orlando.

Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office said the four sites will administer 2,000 doses a day.

The governor’s office said the sites will operate seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Orlando site will be located at the Valencia College – West Campus, 1800 S. Kirkman Road.

3. Seminole County to open registration for emergency rental assistance program

Seminole County will open registration for its emergency rental assistance program Monday.

Residents can apply for rental assistance if they have difficulty making timely payments of rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The county received $14.2 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury to provide rental assistance to eligible households negatively impacted due to COVID-19.

4. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to host 16th annual neighborhood and community summit

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will host the 16th annual neighborhood and community summit

The summit will bring together more than 300 residents and community leaders to participate in workshops, network with others and learn about city programs and services.

Registration for the summit is open. The summit will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 6.

5. Walt Disney World’s Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival begins this week

Walt Disney World’s Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is set to kick off Wednesday.

The festival will feature “brilliant gardens, fresh flavors, lively entertainment and more.”

6. Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay reopens

Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay reopened Saturday.

Officials with Universal said many guests will notice enhanced health and safety procedures at the park, much like the ones instituted last year.

Things like limited capacity, temperature checks and enhanced disinfection procedures will be standard.

Also, face coverings will be required in all restaurants and shops, but not allowed on waterslides or in pools.

7. SpaceX to launch Starlink satellites

SpaceX is scheduled to launch its Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral Sunday night.

The company is targeting a 8:37 p.m. launch.

Channel 9 will livestream the launch on its website.

8. The Agua Series on display at Harry P. Leu Gardens

The City of Orlando Public Art Program announced that The Agua Series, a solo exhibition by award-winning Florida artist Muffy Clark Gill, is on display in the Garden House Gallery at Harry P. Leu Gardens from starting Feb 25.

The artwork will be displayed until June 25.

9. Monster Jam returns to Orlando

Monster Jam is returning to Orlando’s Camping World Stadium on Feb. 27 and 28.

The event features “the ultimate mix of high-flying action and four-wheel excitement.”

It will be one of the first family events to open its doors to fans since the pandemic began.
