St. Cloud officer found not guilty on stalking charges

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A St. Cloud police officer who was arrested in October on allegations he stalked a fellow officer and suspected love interest was found not guilty Thursday.

John Nettles’ wife and former Osceola County deputy Edeania Nettles, was fired the same month for allegedly beating up Jennifer Hoyus, after she found out about the alleged affair between Hoyus and John Nettles.

Nettles said he stayed with his now ex-wife, which is what he believes led to the stalking allegations by Hoyos.

He's been on paid leave since his arrest.
