Happening today: Gov. DeSantis to speak in Central Florida

WILDWOOD, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis will speak in Central Florida Wednesday morning.


The governor is set to hold a news conference in Sumter County at 8:30 a.m.

DeSantis’ administration did not reveal specifics on this morning’s announcement, but said the governor will be joined by Lt. Gov. Nuñez and Richard Corcoran, the state’s education commissioner.

The event will be held at the Ezell Regional Recreation Center in Wildwood.

Channel 9 will livestream the news conference when it begins.
