A holly jolly market: Pulte scoops up land in Christmas for new homes

The region’s second-biggest homebuilder has snatched up more than 130 acres in Orange County. 

PulteGroup Inc. (NYSE: PHM) paid roughly $8.13 million for the land, according to county documents. The purchase consists of 131 acres off North Fort Christmas Road in Christmas, according to the Orange County Property Appraiser website. 

On the site, Pulte plans a 253-home subdivision named Sunset Preserve, which will feature seven different home designs and prices starting at $404,990.
