I-4 WB reopens in Volusia County

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The westbound lanes of Interstate 4 in Lake Helen have reopened Tuesday night.

A semi-trailer truck blew a tire, causing a motorist to swerve to avoid the tire and get stuck under a tanker truck, which caused the Volusia County interstate closure at mile marker 119, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Traffic was backed up until mile marker 120 in the westbound lanes and was slow in the eastbound lanes as well.

No injuries were reported.
