According to an arrest warrant, deputies began investigating the allegations against Wassey after the victims came forward to report that Wassey inappropriately touched them while they rode the bus in May.

Investigators reviewed video from the bus and found that on several occasions Wassey would call the children to the front of the bus.

Deputies said once the children were at the front of the bus, Wassey would then touch the children on their bottoms and between their legs.

When interviewed by investigators at his home in Orange County, Wassey said he resigned from his job because of his health.

He also denied that he had done anything wrong and did not remember the child or anything about the allegations.

Wassey was placed under arrest and booked into the Orange County jail without bond.

The Lake County School District tells Channell 9, “We told him [Wessey] he was being removed from the route in light of the allegations and he immediately resigned.”
