Lake County woman arrested after traffic stop leads to discovery of nearly 4 pounds of marijuana

EUSTIS, Fla. — An Okahumpka woman has been charged with multiple felonies after police say she was caught with nearly four pounds of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.


Eustis police officers stopped 30-year-old Marinda Mauck in the area State Road 19 and County Road 44 Monday night.

Police say they were immediately able to detect the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and could see it in plain view.

A search of Mauck’s vehicle yielded 3.7 pounds of marijuana, 85 grams of THC wax, 45 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and other drug paraphernalia.

Police say they also found two guns under the driver’s seat of Mauck’s car.

Mauck was arrested Monday and charged with multiple felonies, including possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and two counts of carrying a concealed firearm.

She was released from jail Tuesday morning on a total of $14,000 bond.

Mauck is due in court for an arraignment on January 31.
