Body of missing boater found on Central Florida lake, officials say

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The body of a missing boater was found in Lake County on Monday following a weekend boating accident.

On Saturday, around 3:25 p.m., the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to a call of a possible boating accident on Lake Yale in Eustis.

FWC and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate and rescue one victim.

According to the victim, another occupant was still missing after the crash.

Law enforcement continued to search for the victim using sonar, fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

On Monday, at 7 a.m., the body of Nicholas Kenley was found on Lake Yale.

This incident remains under investigation.
