LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A man is in custody after deputies said he broke into a Mount Dora home and undressed himself for a woman he had been stalking for years.

Officials initially responded to the home on Jan. 10 just before 3:15 a.m. in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies were advised by dispatch that the man who had broken into the home, later identified as 24-year-old Deron Randall, had begun to undress himself and was being held at gunpoint by one of the occupants in the home after they struck him in the head with the gun during a struggle.

Deputies deployed a K9 unit and tased Randall after they said he failed to comply with their orders, according to an arrest affidavit.

Randall was treated for his injuries before being taken into custody.

Initital investigation showed Randall began following a woman who lived in the home years ago on social media before being blocked for making inappropriate comments toward her.

Officials said that time had passed since then and two years ago, the family had a stove delivered to the home from Lowe’s and discovered that Randall was the delivery driver.

Deputies said Randall made previous attempts to break into the home in an attempt to see the woman.
