Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the woman’s boyfriend, 33-year-old Renee Aviles, who said that the two got into an argument.
He told them that she then attacked him, which startled him and caused his weapon to accidentally discharge, according to deputies.
The woman, later identified as 37-year-old Tracy Hamby, was pronounced dead on the scene.
