‘They have to go': Landlord gives eviction notice to El Rinconcito Bar & Grill following shooting

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A property owner made good on her promise by putting up an eviction notice Wednesday on a troubled Orange County bar where a man was shot this week.

That eviction comes amid increased complaints from neighbors and businesses who said they are fed up with the trouble at El Reconcito Bar & Grill on East Colonial Drive.

The latest issue involved a man who deputies say was shot in the head during a gunfight with armed security.

WFTV News report Tuesday that the landlord planned to post an eviction notice Wednesday and the fire marshal is demanding a full inspection.

Domingo Montes' security surveillance cameras captured the moments before Monday's shooting and the moments after, as an injured driver sped wildly away from the scene and armed security came into the camera's view.

Montes owns New York Giant Pizza next door to El Rinconcito.

Montes is totally blind but can still flip his own pies and can hear what he can't see with his eyes.

“Shootouts in the back, at one point they were shooting at each other like two minutes there. Like the old-fashioned cowboys,” Montes said.

The eviction notice comes as neighbors, both business and residential, increase the pressure of complaints about the all-too-common violence associated with El Rinconcito.

Monday's incident occurred between a man inside of a car and guards at the business.

The injured man was found by deputies about a quarter mile away. He'd been shot in the head and his car was riddled with bullets.
