Lengthy jury selection process continues in deputy slaying trial

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The lengthy process of picking a jury for the trial of a man accused of killing a Brevard County deputy will continue this morning.

Investigators said Brandon Bradley shot and killed Deputy Barbara Pill during a traffic stop in 2012

Thirty-five potential jurors have been selected for the trial. Attorneys said they would like to have 50 before picking the final 12.

Bradley is the accused gunman in Pill's slaying. He is charged with first-degree murder in the case.

Bradley's co-defendant, Andria Kerchner, took a plea deal and is expected to testify against him. Kerchner was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
