ORLANDO, Fla. — We’re expecting to see more long lines at the Orlando International Airport.
The airport saw big crowds all weekend long as people flew out to their Easter destinations.
The Transportation Security Administration said this was one of the busiest travel weekends in three years.
On Sunday, the lines at OIA were back to the food court at one point.
Passengers made sure to pack their patience over the weekend.
“We’ve never really experienced big lines like this,” a passenger told Channel 9. “All the years we’ve been coming to Orlando for Disney — this is the longest we’ve ever seen.”
Airport officials said the spring break/Easter travel season is the busiest at OIA.
Last year 5.2 million passengers made their way through the airport.
This year an estimated 7.4 million would visit the airport.
Things are getting so busy at OIA that it just cracked the top 10 as one of the busiest airports in the world.
