Man accused of beating roommate with metal object

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — An Osceola County man is facing criminal charges after deputies said he tried to kill his roommate.

Andy Roques-Arencibia is accused of beating his 59-year-old roommate with a metal object in a Kissimmee.

When deputies arrived, they said he pretended to be an officer with a special police force in Puerto Rico to avoid arrest.

They said Roques-Arencibia had a badge, a baton and a knife with the inscription: Special Police.

Arencibia was booked into the Osceola County Jail without bail.

His roommate is in critical condition.
