Man accused of shooting, killing ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in Leesburg turns himself in

LEESBURG, Fla. — A 25-year-old man wanted in connection with the killing his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in Leesburg Sunday turned himself in Friday, police said.

Officers identified Jeremy Harrison, 25, as a suspect in the killing after Frederick Thomas, 26, was found shot to death at about 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police have not said what may have led to the shooting, but said Thomas was dating Harrison’s ex-girlfriend.

County records do not show any previous domestic violence charges or injunctions against Harrison.

Officials have not said what charges Harrison is facing in the case.
