WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. — A man has been arrested and charged Thursday in connection to a bomb threat called in to Winter Springs High School earlier in the week.
Winter Springs police said Kenneth Petruzziello, 19, of Winter Springs, is being held on charges of report of a hoax bomb, disruption of school functions and destruction of evidence.

The threat was called in to the school at about 7:20 a.m. Monday, police said. The caller claimed a bomb would detonate in one hour.
Police said Petruzziello said in the call, “There’s a bomb in Winter Springs High School. You have one hour to evacuate the school,” then hung up the phone.
Police would not say how they caught the suspect or what the motive for the call may have been.
About 2,400 students were forced to stop their exams and evacuate while police did a sweep of the school.
Petruzziello is being held in jail on a $7,250 bond.
