Man arrested on sex assault charges after reporting beating by brother of victim

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County man accused of sexually assaulting a woman along Silver Star Road Thursday will remain in jail, according to officials.

A judge denied Utchey Cabane bail after investigators said he threatened a woman with a box cutter and assaulted her.

Deputies said the victim told her brother about the assault, who then tracked Utchey down and attacked him.

Authorities said Cabane called deputies to report the assault, not knowing his alleged victim had already reported him to deputies.

Deputies said further questioning led Cabane to admit the sexual assault.

Before going to jail, deputies had Cabane write an apology letter, reading he shouldn't have taken advantage of the victim and he's "not that kind of human being."
