Man dies after being thrown from car after striking 2 trees in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A driver was killed after he struck two trees and was thrown from his car in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The 23-year-old man was driving at a high speed on SW 186th Court around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Troopers said the man entered a grass shoulder and overcorrected toward the right, before losing control of his car.

The man then crossed the roadway and struck two trees, troopers said.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the man was thrown from his car and pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were available.
