Man hit, killed by van in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was killed Friday when he was hit by a van in Orange County on Orange Blossom Trail and Holden Avenue.

The driver told WFTV me he was driving on OBT when he said the man came out of nowhere.

The driver claimed he was driving the speed limit of 45 miles per hour.

The driver's boss said he called him right after the crash and was shaken up, and admitted to hitting someone with his van.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

A spokesperson told WFTV the man died at a hospital.

The name of the victim was not released.
