Man runs when deputies go to home to serve warrant in choking case

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Osceola County Deputies said they are looking for a man who ran away when they arrived at his home on Bibbens Street to serve a warrant.

Deputies are searching for Tyrone Woodson, 29.

Authorities said they knocked on the door to the St. Cloud house and Woodson quickly shut it and fled out the back door.

Woodson had a warrant out for his arrest in an attempted strangulation case, police said.

Deputies said they began the manhunt at about 9:00 a.m. Monday. Sheriff's deputies set up a perimeter on several streets in the area, checking car after car as they were leaving.

Six K9 officers and their dogs searched the nearby woods.

"I don't understand why all these officers. It does not take all these officers to come out and search and serve a warrant. It doesn't make sense," said the man's aunt, Earline Woodson.

One resident told Channel 9 that seeing deputies at the house isn't an unusual sight.

"Anytime this girl calls the police they arrest him. They arrest him all the time. (I) don't like him," said the neighbor.
