Detectives identify man shot, killed in east Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County detectives have identified the man who was fatally shot during a robbery in east Orange County Friday evening.

According to officials, 21-year-old Michael Ault was killed in the shooting at a home on Constantine Street shortly before 9 p.m.

Officials said Ault was taken to Florida Hospital East where he died as a result of his injury.

Investigators said the shooting started as a robbery and was not random. Deputies were searching for clues and interviewing several witnesses following the incident.

"We'll talk to people and the friends and find out what led to the victim being over here in the first place," Cpl. David Nutting with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The suspect is still at large, deputies said. A description of the gunman has not been released.
