Officials increase security measures at Marion County school following online threat

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Parents and students at Belleview Middle School will notice more security on campus Thursday morning.

The district said there was another threat of violence made against the school on social media.

Deputies arrested a student earlier in the week who is accused of making the original threat.

Officials believe someone hacked a social media account to make the threat.

The nature of the threat is not known.
