Marion school worker arrested, accused of sending nude photos of self to students

OCALA, Fla. — A Marion County school employee was arrested, accused of sending nude photos of herself to underage students.

Jody Teressa Onorato, 43, was booked into the Marion County Jail Friday, charged with two counts of transmitting harmful material to minors.

Ocala police investigators said Onorato admitted to sending several nude photos of herself to two students at Vanguard High School, where she is employed.

According to investigators, one of the students has graduated from the school but said Onorato sent the photos through text messages when he was a minor in 11th grade.

The second student, a 17-year-old, received photos on his phone as recently as January, according to investigators.

Investigators said they received a report that Onorato was had sent the photos. Detectives said they had the mothers of the students make phone calls to Onorato and that she apologized to them for sending nude photos of herself to their sons.

According to investigators when they questioned Onorato she said she sent the photos as a way of getting attention.

Onorato's bond was set at $10,000, but records show she posted bond early Saturday morning and is out of jail.
