Melbourne mobile home park leasing office destroyed in fire

MELBOURNE, Fla. — A fire broke out at a mobile home park in Brevard County Tuesday morning, next to I-95.

Crews said they were able to put out a fire that engulfed the leasing office of the Groveland mobile home park in Melbourne.

"I was sleeping in the bedroom, and all of a sudden this explosion happened," said witness Antonio Sanchez.

At about 5 a.m., 911 callers reported they could see the flames from I-95.

The mobile home park on W. Eau Gallie Boulevard is separated from I-95  by a privacy wall.

"The dogs were barking. I went to go check what it was and the building was on fire," said Sanchez. "I woke up everybody in the house and put them in the car."

No injuries were reported.
