Mobile home fires keep firefighters busy in small community of Citra

CITRA, Fla. — Marion County firefighters were kept busy early Sunday morning as they battled four suspicious building fires in Citra.

All four of the fires were in vacant mobile homes and took place in a three-hour period.

Investigators said the first of the fires was reported around 4:11 a.m. and the fourth fire was reported at 7:08 a.m.

About 40 firefighters from 10 different stations fought the fires, according to fire officials.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incidents.
