Mom of alleged wig-wearing child sex predator talks to WFTV

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The mother of a man accused of preying on children told WFTV that her son does not understand the consequences of his actions.

Jordan Wagner has been arrested three times in the last three weeks, authorities said.

Wagner's mother said her son fooled everyone.

Officials with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said they discovered that 23-year-old Wagner was talking to at least 36 different children online while wearing a wig to resemble a teenager.

"He's an adult and he is portraying himself as a juvenile and he is soliciting juvenile kids to engage in sexual activity," said Jeff Duncan of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Wagner's mother said that she had "no idea" he was allegedly online soliciting children for sex in their home.

She said he is very intelligent, but he was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which is a high function form of autism and he would often go off his medication and become violent.

She also believes that he doesn't understand the consequences of his actions

FDLE agents said they've just identified one victim in Orange County: a 12-year-old girl.

But they believe several others are in Orange County and they're trying to track them down.

FDLE confirmed Wagner had a security license and was working as a security guard.

Officials said the license was revoked.
