Mount Dora closes community swimming pool after city employees test positive for COVID-19

MOUNT DORA, Fla. — The city of Mount Dora announced Friday that two employees who work at the Lincoln Avenue Community Park swimming pool tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, officials temporarily closed the pool.

City officials said they made notifications to citizens who were in contact with the infected workers.

The city’s website advised anyone who was in contact with staff members from the pool to self-quarantine and self-monitor.



A city spokesperson said the swimming pool would remain shut down until the public safety risk was eliminated and staffing levels returned to normal.
