New Smyrna Beach home destroyed in early morning fire

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — According to the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department, crews responded to the home at 841 Cavedo Street just before 5:30 a.m.

Crews from the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department, Volusia County Fire Rescue and the Edgewater Fire Rescue Department battled the blaze for about three hours before the all-clear was given.

Firefighters said all residents of the home were able to escape the fire and there were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
