Ocala church considers phased reopening, new sanitation measures

OCALA, Fla. — A church is Ocala is considering a phased reopening in just a few weeks.

Church @ the Springs in Ocala is trying to figure out the best way to go about doing that.

One of the ways church officials are trying to do that is figure out how far seats in the church auditorium should be apart from one another.

The church has been inviting parishioners to drive-up and watch services on a giant LED screen from their cars.

In addition to spacing chairs, the church is also looking at having people hold the doors so there’s no contact. There will also be sanitizing stations available.

The church has not decided anything yet about reopening, but officials said they hope to have a decision by the end of the week.
