Ocala decides on new plan, won't kill Muscovy ducks

MARION COUNTY, Fla.,None — The city of Ocala has a new plan to get rid of some nuisance ducks without killing them.

Parks and Recreation officials are now in the process of applying for a federal permit to relocate more than 100 Muscovy ducks.

They have already found a trapper to catch them and a place to move the ducks where they can't escape.

The city had planned to euthanize the ducks because they are aggressive and contaminate ponds.
