OCSO: Body found in Rosemont backyard deemed suspicious

ORLANDO, Fla. — Deputies are investigating after a man's body was found in a Rosemont backyard Sunday morning, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Neighbors called authorities to report finding the body lying in the backyard of a home on Miracle Road a little before 10:30 a.m.

Deputies said they believe the death to be suspicious and have not released the man's identity.

Investigators spent the morning canvassing Miracle Road, asking neighbors what they may have heard Saturday night.

Selena Powers, who lives nearby, told Channel 9's Angela Jacobs she believes she heard a lot of fireworks during the night.

“I heard like, fireworks. And my dogs were going off so I knew something was going on,” said Powers. “That’s what I assumed.”

Detectives believe some kind of fight occurred before the man's death.

"We are not particularly looking for anyone. We believe we have all identifications of everyone involved right now so this is for the most part just a suspicious investigation," said Jeff Williamson, OCSO spokesman.
